is anchored in destruction?

how much that you create
is merely made for consumption?

Trying to choke out the man brain,
being human is exhausting,
I’m open to suggestion
if anyone has
a way of stopping
the constant analyzing
of mundane content
I’m being forced to binge,
I’ve been ducking into corners,
contorting this exquisite corpse
in a feeble attempt to live.

Why does happiness elude me so?
And is it just a myth?

How do I learn to enjoy living in the moment
when the ones before and after it are shit?

I’ve grown comfortable putting this mask on but they can still see the expression in my eyes, something in my present is past wrong, so my presence in the future,
I already regret and despise.
I despise.

Lord knows I’ve tried to strategize, synchronize, prophesize,
and optimize my time,
it all falls away in the face of truth
and feels like lies,
so I despise.
