the lies that we lead
ourselves to edge
to see if we bleed,
when what’s left is only what
we tell ourselves in our heads,
everything
is as fleeting
as the breath that we breathe,
How do we stop falling casualty?
who am i to question
how we deceive
ourselves into this
projected reality?

Why is it taking
so long to kick in?
How do we know
which way cycles will spin?
Predictive as predators,
we move with the wind.
Made martyr when blessed
with the original sin, but
we’re cleansing the cursed palate,
it ends how it begins.

The lies that we lead,
Into lives that we’ve led,
like spiders we weave
the most tangled of webs,
Let’s put those habits to rest,
Let’s put that culture to bed,
Set fire to the nest,
Bad energy
lets ego rise from the dead,
Projecting perfection
is perception misled,
we’ve conceived the cure
but its often unsaid
So let’s make peace with the remedy,
and put 2 in the back of the head.

Exasperated the explanation
out of the shittiest situation,
milk the blood from the stone
so every red cent is worth
the wasted time and inspiration and
Mindless conversations that wear upon my patience, I will not fake enjoyment,
can’t feign any sense of entertainment.

How are you so complacent?
I can’t fucking take it.

Are you really happy here
or are you just comfortable and warm?

Does it even resonate or
seem to matter anymore?

Does it even click at all?
Or are we just disassociating,
waiting for the fall?
